London $17.4 million Lottery Winners Plan to Escape Town

The winner of last Saturday’s $17.4 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot, from London, Canada, has said that her life is changing quickly and she doesn’t want it to.

The jackpot was won by Audrey Gill and she is now planning on escaping the city with her partner Malvin Knight. Gill said, “We’re leaving town for a while. There’s been a lot of attention. We just want to absorb it.”

According to Gill they’ve received “non-stop phone calls” with friends and neighbours continuing calling round to offer congratulations. Upon returning home from collecting their jackpot winnings Gill said that “the neighbours came running down the street.”

However, Gill says that she loves her neighbourhood and is planning a party there for when things calm down.

She also wants to help out her ten siblings with the winnings. Gill also said that nobody has asked them for money yet.

Gill says, “It’s going to change our life, but we don’t really want it to. We’re down to earth people. I’m just ecstatic. It’s just unbelievable. It’s not sunk in.”
