Spielo G2 to Provide Online Gambling in Ontario
Following a lengthy deliberation process the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLGC) has now announced that the company providing online gambling services in Ontario will be SPIELO G2.
The corporation are hoping that an official online gambling portal based in Ontario will lure back some of the estimated $400 million currently spent on offshore sites and will provide a considerable tax income for the state.
The official 5 year contract, with an opportunity to extend, was granted to BOSS MEDIA AB, a company that is part of the SPIELO G2 group.
The company is licensed to offer interactive casino games including table games, poker and slots and will also offer customers the chance to purchase ENCORE, LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX among others.
Ontario players will need to verify their age when using the portal and will have the chance to use tools helping them with fund and time management whilst playing online.
OLGC’s CEO Rod Phillips said: “We’re pleased to have an experienced company on board to help OLG provide an interactive gaming experience that will be a secure option, regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.”
