One Direction Banned from Playing Slots
Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, members of the much-loved-by-screaming-teen-girls boyband One Direction, were banned from playing a slot machine at Abington services on the M74 where they stopped for a short rest on their way to Glasgow.
The two young men were asked for their IDs by Anne Fuller, an employee at the services. Ms Fuller didn’t recognize the two celebs and asked Louis (21) and Liam (19) for identification but since the young men couldn’t produce any documents Ms Fuller banned them from the 18s and over area.
In an interview for the Sun Ms Fuller commented: “I was just doing my job. I’d heard of One Direction but only found out it was them when a colleague later said, ‘Somebody’s thrown out the most popular boyband in the world’.”
The rest of the band, namely Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles neatly escaped the confrontation as they were shopping for snacks.
One Direction are in the middle of their extensive worldwide Take Me Home tour with gigs in cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Los Angeles, Sydney and others.
