Zynga Launches Real Money Games

Zynga, one of the largest social gaming companies in the world, launched its first real money gambling games which are now available for players aged 18 and over in the United Kingdom.
The gaming giant, primarily known for its unfaltering presence on the Facebook social gaming scene, announced that ZyngaPlusPoker and ZyngaPlusCasino will be separate from Zynga’s social media offering and will operate independently as standard games to be played through a web browser or to be downloaded directly on to PC.
Zynga’s real money games will be available on the bwin.party software platform.
Barry Cottle, Chief Revenue Officer at Zynga outlined the company’s plan, “Our long term vision is to offer our players the next generation of real money games on multiple platforms in regulated markets worldwide. We take responsible gaming seriously and are proud to partner with bwin.party, an industry leader and a reputable company that is fully licensed by a premier regulatory authority.”
Although real money gaming is illegal in most of the US, Zynga hopes it will expand overseas once federal legislation is changed. Meanwhile the company will expand to other European counties throughout 2013.
