King Releases Two New Saga Games
Last week King.com launched two new games, Papa Pear Saga and Farm Heroes Saga and announced that its platform has exceeded 108 million monthly players.
The co-founder and CEO of King, Riccardo Zacconi, said the company has “had lots of fun over the last 10 years making great games and we are honoured to have acquired such a loyal fan-base.”
The new games are the latest to in the company’s Saga portfolio which already includes Pet Rescue Saga and Candy Crush Saga. The new Papa Pear Saga is an “inventive reinterpretation” of the Japanese Pachinko game.
In it players must navigate through a fantasy world full of fruits, vegetables and other objects.
The idea is to get as many pears to bounce on as many objects as possible. At present it is only available on desktop but mobile versions are expected in the near future.
In Farm Heroes Saga players must help three characters save the world’s farms “from the aggressive ambitions of Rancid the industrialist raccoon.” The game is a strategy game where players must use match-3 and item collection features.
According to King it is the “most intricate Saga game yet” and each level is built from multiple components such as special mission, boss fights and more.
