The WSOP Circuit event at the Lodge Casino has come to an end after some truly fantastic poker.

After four days of play the Main Event was won by Jonathan Taylor who beat a field of 420 players to claim the $138,938 prize. Taylor also won his third ring of the season which gives him an automatic seat in the National Championship in May; however, he won’t need it as he won the Casino Champion title in Southern Indiana this season.

In other news Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler entered Day 2 of the $580 No-Limit Hold’em event with a massive chip lead and by the end of the day he had claimed his second WSOP Circuit gold ring and a prize of $20,859.

However, victory only came after he had defeated Brian Green in a heads-up match that lasted for two hours.

After the game Kessler said, “This was really a hard-fought battle. We had some really good players at the final table. I’m very happy with my play.”

There were 149 entries into the tournament and Kessler was awarded 50 points on the National Championship leaderboard for his victory, this gives him a total of 95 points and makes him a strong contender for a seat at the National Championship.
