Dutch Boyd To Publish Book on His Poker Career
When Dutch Boyd won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2006 he said “now, if I go broke, I can always write a book.” Following the devastating effects of the UIGEA and Black Friday on the poker industry, Dutch Boyd has written that book.
Boyd has started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the publishing of his book called Poker Tilt.
The book combines tell-all and strategy advice and is due to be released in association with Broadstone Media.
Despite having made over $2 million playing poker, the high five-figure entry fees and the cost of travelling to major poker tournaments quickly drained Boyd’s winnings.
Boyd said that “Coupled with poor bankroll management, my path followed that of countless other professional poker players. My finances were completely depleted leaving me unable to cover the most basic of monthly expenses.”
The book portrays Body’s story starting with when he learnt how to play poker, it covers the highs and lows of his poker career but also includes his closely guarded poker strategy tips.
Boyd is also hoping that the book will warn other players about bad money management.
