Officials from the museum said that these games are just the start and the museum hopes to acquire a total of 40 video games over the coming years. These 14 games were picked because of their interactive design, aesthetic experience, visual quality and code elegance.
The games are being exhibited as works of arts, so gaming enthusiasts won’t be able to try them out. However, there are some specially designed stations so that people can try the classic Pac-Man games.
The museum contacted the original game manufacturers in order to obtain the source code for the games and create the stations.
The exhibition will be on display until the end of January 2014.
