Fantastic New Events at the WSOP
Despite being in its 44th year, the World Series of Poker is still managing to find original ideas. This year they have come up with a ‘Millionaire Maker’ $1,500 buy-in event which has a guaranteed top prize of $1 million.
This year’s WSOP will run from May 29th to July 15th and includes 62 tournaments of varying types.
There will be a massive 480 tables at the Las Vegas Rio accommodating up to 4,320 players a day.
Thanks to the increase in available seats the $10,000 buy-in Main Event has been shortened by a day and will start with three Day 1s on July 6th.
For the first time ever the WSOP is including a “Turbo” tournament, instead of the normal 60-minute levels, the first four levels will increase in 30-minute intervals and later increase to 40 minutes.
Those who are looking forward to the $1,500 and $1,000 buy-in no-limit Hold’Em events will be pleased to hear that they’ve been scheduled to take place every Saturday and Sunday so that players can enjoy a lengthy poker weekend.
