World Series of Poker Facebook Game Launched
The World Series of Poker has entered the world of free to play social media poker with a newly launched Facebook game.
The game is the latest to enter the already packed market and it will be competing with industry leading Zynga.
Earlier this month PokerStars also launched a free to play poker game on Facebook.
The WSOP game has been developed by Electronic Arts and Caesars Interactive Entertainment, the parent company of the WSOP. It can be played on PCs, Apples and iOS and Android mobile devices.
Players can choose from a number of games such as single table tournaments featuring both full-table and short-handed play. Furthermore, players will be able to take part in cross-platform tournaments and challenge their friends on Facebook.
The game gives players the chance to win virtual bracelets and rings, just as players do at the WSOP and WSOP Circuit events. The game is WSOP Branded and has nice social features, such as chat, integrated into it.
There is also a VIP options which will grant players access to stat trackers, VIP only tables and more. VIP upgrades start at $5 for a 35 day upgrade.
