Two Powerball Winners in Rhode Island
There was no winner of the February 20 Powerball jackpot which is worth over $70 million. However, there were some winners of smaller prizes.
A woman from Rhode Island won $40,000 thanks to the Powerball Power Play option; she was lucky enough to match four of the five white Powerball winning numbers and the red Powerball to claim her prize.
According to Rhode Island Lottery officials the winning ticket was bought at ABC Gas station and it took the woman over a week to realise she’d won. While the normal prize is $10,000, the woman had spent an extra dollar on a Power Play ticket which increases the prize to $40,000.
There is another Rhode Island Powerball winner who hasn’t yet claimed their prize. The ticket is worth an astonishing $2 million and was bought at AJ’s Mini Market in Woonsocket for the February 6th draw.
The winning ticket matched five out of six white Powerball winning numbers, but not the red Powerball number. If you’re from Rhode Island be sure to check your ticket, you may be a millionaire!
