This is the fifth Hot Lotto jackpot to be won in Kansas since 2006, but the third time in the last year that a multimillion-dollar jackpot ticket has been sold in Kansas.
Lottery officials have recommended that the winner sign the back of the ticket straight away.
Meanwhile at the Omni Casino, one lucky member won a $136,314.93 progressive jackpot playing the Queen of Pyramids 25 line progressive slot. The winner had only placed a $2.25 bet when they won the jackpot.
Gamblers in Europe will be excited to hear that the Euromillions has a double rollover jackpot of £27 million up for grabs this Friday evening so be sure to head out and by your tickets in the next couple of days.
For those of you in the States the Powerball jackpot is now worth around $80,000.
