Germany and UK Become Social Gaming Leaders
New research shows that Germany and the UK have taken the lead in the online social gambling market.
The research showed that not only is the UK and Germany in the lead, they are set to stay there for a while to come.
“Socialnomics” conducted the research and found that in the UK and Germany around 20% of online casino gaming is conducted via a social network.
As social networks are still on the rise, it makes sense that there will be an increase in social gaming.
At present there are 81 million social gambling players and the number is expected to rise much higher.
Research from Transparency Market Research showed that by 2015 there will be a 44% growth in the industry. This could mean that there will be over a billion social gamers, already over 1 billion hours of social game play happens each month.
Facebook is by far one of the most popular platforms to play on, at present more than 60% of the social network gamblers log on at least once a day to play. More astonishing is the fact that 15% of the entire British internet market is consumed only by social media gaming. The only question is, how much more will the industry grow.
