Timberlake Brushes Up on Gambling for New Film

Justin Timberlake has taken a crash course in online gambling ahead of his next film.
He has been learning the difference between ‘folds’ and ‘flashes’ as he prepares to join Ben Affleck in the film ‘Runner, Runner’ which was written by Brian Koppelman (also responsible for ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’).
The new thriller is set in the world of online gambling and Timberlake will be playing Richie First, a Princeton graduate who is taken on as the protégé of an online casino businessman played by Affleck.
The film comes after Timberlake played the bright, young Napster co-founder Sean Parker in the hugely successful film ‘The Social Network’. Now Affleck is busy preparing to enter the world of ‘Burn cards’ and ‘High Rollers’ for his next role.
Casinos have long been a popular subject for films, ranging from the 1940’s hit ‘Lady Luck’ to ‘Bugsy Malone’ to the Bond films ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Casino Royale’. Not to mention Matt Damon’s ‘Rounders’ and De Niro’s performance in Casino.
After the huge success of the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ series of films it will be interesting to see what Koppelman has in store for Timberlake and fans of the actor, and casino gaming, alike are sure to be queuing to see the film when it’s released.
