X Factor Judges Row Leads to Drop in Ratings

The X Factor is heating up and Ella Henderson is favourite to win with odds of 8/11.

However, last week’s controversy which saw Judge Gary Barlow storming off shows that it is not just the singers who are feeling the pressure.

After Louis Walsh took the competition to deadlock and Carolynne Poole lost her place in the finals Barlow stormed off and has since said that he considered quitting the show as a result. 

In a recent interview Barlow said that the show “gets to me because it follows me round all week …. I hate it but I love it.”

He went on to say that he thinks the show’s reputation has been damaged and that the public “weren’t happy last weekend. They thought their vote hadn’t counted but it does count.” He also said that things aren’t completely back to Louis yet.

Show bosses are said to be concerned about the tension between the judges with one source saying that “Gary has made it clear he doesn’t think Louis is as relevant as some of the other judges.”

The source also revealed that the row has caused a drop in ratings which producers are worried can’t be won back.
