Lottery Winner Doesn’t Quite His Day Job

Despite winning a £148 million jackpot, Adrian Bayford has not given up his day job running a guitar shop.

Despite winning a £148 million jackpot, Adrian Bayford has not given up his day job running a guitar shop.
Bayford built the Suffolk Music Centre shop up from a market stall and he can still be regularly seen manning the till and doing odd jobs.
Shoppers say that they have seen the man moving stock, collapsing boxes and chatting with his regular customers.
Adrian and his wife Gillian won the second largest lottery jackpot in British history last month with a ticket he bought at his local newsagents.
Since winning the only evidence of a change to their lifestyle is the purchase of a modest Ford family car, a £17,000 4×4 Kuga. This modest purchase is a long way from Gillian’s dream car of a £60,000 Audi Q7.
The couple celebrated their win with takeaway pizzas from Dominos and then they further surprised people for going on a caravanning holiday in Scotland.
Gillian has announced to leave her job in order to spend more time with her family. However, the couple have no plans to move from their four bedroom, detached house which they owned before the win.
The win has put the Bayfords at number 516 on the Sunday Times Rich List.
