The popular game The Bard’s Tale which came to iPhone last year has finally arrived on Android.

In fact the iPhone game was a port of a console game from 2004 and the Android version is a port of a port.

In the game the player takes on the role of a world-weary, womanising, opportunistic guy who is voiced by Cary Elwes.

In the game you must work your way through a fantasy world completing quests and looting but the entire game is somewhat tongue in cheek.

The game looks great with rich 3D graphics, good textures and great sound effects.

While the game is a massive 3.5GB, it really is like having a console game in the palm of your hands.

The game has also been optimised for the Xperia Play. While it isn’t the most powerful phone on the market, it does possess physical controls which make the game significantly easier and better to play than on a touchscreen phone.

The Bard’s Tale can be purchased through the Google Play store for just £3.67, at present just chapter one is available but the next two should be released in the fairly near future.
