Station Casinos Brings Mobile Sports Betting to Nevada
Station Casinos LLC has begun a marketing campaign for its Sports Connection Mobile betting application which they have developed since the legalisation of mobile gambling in Nevada.
Lori Nelson, the Station Casinos spokeswoman, said that they are currently in trials and expect a “substantial public launch upon completion of testing by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.” The advertisement, which was mailed to Boarding Pass club members, offered up to $100 in free play if they signed up for one of the company’s sports books. It also offered betting parlays, straight bets, teasers and props with minimum bets of $5.
Marc Falcone, the executive vice president, said that the mobile sports betting app will be released by October 31st. According to Falcone customers anywhere in Nevada will be able to bet on sports, however, upon traveling outside of the state then they will be informed that they are “not in a legal jurisdiction to wager.”
The app will be available on iPhones and tablets and phones running on Android. It is expected that a version for iPad and Blackberry will be released later on.
As a further incentive for customers, the advert said that gamblers who are also Sprint customers will receive a 10% discount on their monthly bill.
