World of Warcraft Prepares for Expansion with Patch 5.04

At the end of the month the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria, is due to be launched.

In preparation for this earlier this week Blizzard Entertainment released Patch 5.04. The patch includes a complete reworking of the Talent System which is completely different from any previous versions of the system.

The new system introduces flexible builds as well as the ability to change a talent on the fly. This allows players to modify character builds in the middle of a raid of PvP battle which means that strategies can be adapted as the situation develops.

The latest patch also included changes to the way the game deals with achievements, pets, mounts and the looting functionality.

Anyone who has spent time farming materials such as cloth for tailoring will welcome to the new system.  There is also a new worldwide event titled The Attack on Theramore Isle which sees Garrosh, the Warchief of the Horde, launch an attack on Jaina Proudmoore’s home.

This patch is essential for anyone looking to purchase the latest expansion pack.
