Michael Phelps has been celebrating the end of his fantastic swimming career with a trip to Las Vegas

It seems that Phelps’ luck isn’t limited to the pool; he won a massive $100,000 in just one poker game at the Caesar’s Palace casino. It has been reported that he then went on to spend most of his winnings at the Tryst nightclub in the Wynn hotel.

Phelps’ friends have said that he brings his ‘don’t quit until you win’ attitude to poker, which while effective in the pool, could be fairly costly at the poker table.  However, Phelps is worth around $45 million and this predicted to triple with future endorsements so this is unlikely to concern him for the time being.

Back in 2008 Phelps said that he loves to play. “Its fun, it’s exciting” and he reportedly takes part in a weekly $25,000 buy-in game with friends. He also said that he finds it something to do to relax where he could be himself and have fun.

While in Vegas, Phelps also enjoyed a pool party surrounded by bikini wearing beauties. However, according to reports it was a far more tame night than the one Prince Harry recently enjoyed at the same hotel.
