Gladiator Director’s Brother Jumps Off Los Angeles Bridge

Tony Scott, director of Hollywood hits such as Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cops 2 and Day of Thunder, died Sunday after jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles Harbor.

A note with contact information was found in the car. Later in the day, a suicide note was found at his office.

At 12:35pm on Sunday, several people called 911 to report that someone had jumped off the bridge. A few hours later, a dive team pulled Scott’s body from the water. Scott’s older brother Ridley is also a prominent Hollywood director. Both brothers had huge success on the silver screen. Ridley is responsible for Gladiator, a hit that has led to at least 2 online slot games.
