Celebrities Head to London for Olympics Parties

Not only have all the Olympic athletes been arriving in London over the past week, but so have loads of celebrities who are coming to London to enjoy the Olympic buzz.

The next few weeks will see some massive parties held in the capital city with celebrities from across the world coming together to party.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly holding one of the biggest parties of the summer with rumours that Rihanna will be performing. The party will be taking place on July 25th and the guest list is believed to include the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, George Clooney, the Beckhams, Nicole Kidman and Hilary Swank. The party is taking place after a charity gala dinner being held at the V&A Museum in aid of Sports for Peace in honour of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
Brad and Angelina have invited VIP guests back to theirs for an after party and have transformed their house into the “perfect party palace” for the occasion. Apparently they have installed giant black chandeliers and covered the walls in black chiffon drapes; they will also be serving British themed food such as fish and chips.
Another highlight will be the River Of Music festival on July 28th taking place across six stages along the Thames. Each stage is dedicated to a different continent taking part in the Games and acts include Dizzee Rascal, the Scissor Sisters and Snow Patrol.
Omega, the Olympics’ official time-keeper is running a number of A-list soirees in a specially refurbished townhouse in Soho. Highlights include Nicole Kidman launching a part on the 28th and a space themed bash on August 2 will be visited by astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Gene Cernan and Tom Stafford.
There are loads more Olympic themed parties going on across the capital over the next few weeks that there are bound to be many more celebrities about. Head into town over the next fortnight and who knows who you’ll bump into.
