X Factor odds on favourite
The live X Factor USA 2011 shows have finally begun and there are now just a few extremely talented competitors left hoping to win this year’s competition.
The first of the live show saw five singers eliminated including two of Simon Cowells five girls, however, he allowed the 14 year old, tremendously talented Drew Ryniewicz to go through to the next round.
One of the other singers, Melanie Amaro will be feeling extremely relieved after she was voted off and then Cowell allowed her to stay on in the competition at the last minute. Cowell also went with the audience favourite, 13 year old Rachel Crow.
Ryniewicz gave a touching performance of the Irene Cara’s “What a Feeling” (Flashdance) provoking judge LA Reid to comment, “Wow girl, look at that! Drew, you are the whole package but what pains me is that I have to give him a compliment – Simon that was really good!”
Tiah Tolliver, Simone Battle, the Brewer Boys and Dexter Haygood were all voted out this week after failing to produce an act good enough to take them through to the next round. However, the judges and audience seemed most impressed by Melanie Amaro’s performance which more than justified the decision to keep her in the competition.
Overall it was a good week for Simon Cowell and his girls and according to the odds at Paddy Power online casino they are set to win the competition. Currently Drew Ryniewicz is at 2/1 to win; just below her is the slightly older Melanie Amaro at 3/1 and Rachel Crow is not far behind at 7/1.
