Tickets available for the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Tournament

Fantastic golf and the biggest celebrities and sports figures will draw thousands of visitors to Las Vegas’ ARIA Resort & Casino at Shadow Creek next spring. The 11th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational (MJCI), will take place March 29-April 1, 2012. With tickets now on sale, golf fans—as well as Michael Jordan fans—can purchase their tickets for four days of great entertainment—and all the while know their participation is raising money for charities.

“ARIA and Shadow Creek are incredibly proud to welcome the return of the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational to Las Vegas,” said ARIA’s president and COO, Bill McBeath. “We loved opening Shadow Creek to the public for the first time earlier this year for this spectacular tournament and very much look forward to welcoming back Michael, his fans and his celebrity guests. Most importantly, we are honored to be a part of an event that raises money for a variety of important charitable organizations.”

A number of charities are benefitted every year. Since its establishment in 2001, nearly $6 million has been raised for Nevada Cancer Institute, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats’ division for charities. Last year, the tournament, which also took place at the lovely Shadow Creek, drew some top names such as Ken Griffey, Jr., Drew Brees, Anthony Anderson, Wayne Gretzky, Jerome Bettis, Roger Clemens, Toni Kukoc, Larry David, Julius Erving, Mario Lemieux, Jamie Foxx, Mike Piazza, Janet Jones-Gretzky, Brett Hull, Toby Keith, Alan Thicke, Spike Lee, and Kevin Hart.

Host Michael Jordan described the event in glowing terms, “Last year’s event was a fun-filled, exciting weekend for not only me, but for our guests, partners and fans. Bill and his entire resort team at ARIA provided service throughout the weekend that was second-to-none and I, of course, can’t pass up playing golf at Shadow Creek. I’m looking forward to another successful Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational in 2012 and am hopeful to raise even more money next year for the participating charities.”
Tickets are available at a number of online agencies, and there are a variety of packages as well as discounted tickets for military personnel and senior citizens. In addition, there is a special scheme for kids under 16—two can come in for free when joining a ticketed adult.
