Las Vegas Sands Casino to Offer Mobile Casino

Las Vegas Sands casino has announced that it is the first casino operator to get approval to use gambling on mobile casino devices in its Nevada, USA casinos. The Sands casino operator plans to offer mobile casino gambling at The Venetian and the Palazzo, which is scheduled to open in late 2007. It has further announced that it has chosen Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald, to be the sole provider of the mobile casino gambling systems at their resort casinos.

The Sands plans to begin trials of the system at The Venetian towards the end of this year or early 2007. Pending state approval of the mobile casino gambling system, casino visitors will be able to participate in gambling freely – playing blackjack, roulette, video poker and slots on handheld devices. Under limitations of the Nevada law, the mobile casino devices can only be used in public areas of a casino resort, such as restaurants, nightclubs and by the pool. Playing in hotel rooms or other private unsupervised areas are forbidden.

The Sands feel privileged at being the first resort to implement the mobile casino devices and are sure that they will be very successful with the clients. The ability for clients to roam freely around the hotel and continue gambling is also of great benefit to the casino operators that can expect increased gambling profits from this small online casino device.
