Mega Bucks for Online Casino Executives
Party Gaming online casino executives are scoring big payout hands from their salaries. It seems that working in the online casino industry is very lucrative. The salary of top online casino executives has been grabbing the interest of a top British newspaper and in a recent report it has divulged the salary of some of the executives in online casino company Party Gaming. After looking at the payout that some of these top executives in the online casino industry earn, one can understand why the thought of making a living out of poker can be a tempting offer.
The top executive was Richard Segal who stepped down from his post as the chief executive of the online casino company – Segal earned a whopping $20.2 million in pay last year. Finance director on the online casino company Martin Weigold did not do too badly himself with total pay of $8.59 million. Chairman Michael Jackson came up trumps with $3.28 million in pay from the online casino, while Brian Larcombe, the non-executive director who heads the remuneration committee, took home $2.02 million.
Segal, who decided not to continue is his position as the online casino group’s head, was replaced by Mitch Garber. Garber could understandably not turn down the offer of a $1 million salary, a $6 million signing-on package and free options in the online casino group currently worth more than GBP 10 million. Garber, former boss of online payment group FireOne, also has nil-cost options over 20 million more shares, exercisable up to 2016, depending on Party Gaming’s performance.
