UK Gambling Industry to Fund £8 Million Awareness Campaign

UK gambling operators have offered to fund an £8 million gambling addiction awareness campaign as the government prepares to publish a review of the industry.

The Remote Gambling Association, the trade body that oversees online gambling, will cover part of the campaign costs and the Senet Group, an organisation formed by the gambling industry to back responsible gambling, will pay the rest. The campaign is part of a drive by the sector to demonstrate their commitment to problem gambling awareness.

The Advertising Association has also said that it is happy to contribute to the campaign. It is thought that the campaign will officially launch at the beginning of 2017 and it is being coordinated by the Industry Group For Responsible Gambling, an organisation that counts some of the largest casino, arcade and sports betting operators amongst its members.
