British Horseracing Authority Announces Official Betting Partners

Earlier this month the British Horseracing Authority formalised arrangements with three bookmakers in order for them to become Authorised Betting Partners.
The bookmakers are Betfair, 32Red and Bet365 all of which have deemed to meet the requirements to become official partners. The bookmakers have all been making voluntary contributions to the sport from the profits made by their online businesses while other bookies have been reluctant to supplement the payments that they are required to make to the sport via the levy on betting shop profits.
According to those that run the Authorised Betting Partners scheme Betfair and bet365 are two of the three biggest online markets for horserace betting and the deals with the bookmakers will return a huge amount to the sport. The bookmakers will also benefit from the deal in the form of preferential commercial arrangements and sponsorship opportunities.
