Bookmakers Suspend Betting on James Bond Title Track Singer

William Hill is refusing to take bets on which artist will record the next James Bond theme song after a punter tried to place a £15,000 bet on Radiohead being selected.
A spokesman for the bookmaker said that “Nobody risks £15,000 on a hunch”. Prior to the event Radiohead were 6/4 favourites to be awarded the honour. Following the suspension of betting at William Hill Ladbrokes, Coral and Paddy Power have followed suit.
A spokesman for Radiohead said that he had no comment on whether the band would be performing the Spectre title track. In recent days Ellie Goulding has also emerged as a favourite to perform the title song. The director of Spectre, Sam Mendes, has confirmed that a song has been recorded but it is not known when it will be announced who the artist is.
