SLS Las Vegas Casino and Hotel Permit Secured By LA Entrepreneur

Well-known LA night club owner Sam Nazarian has been working diligently on getting the go-ahead from the Las Vegas Gaming Control Board for a new casino construction project, the SLS Las Vegas. In a 2-1 vote by the board, Nazarian will be granted a temporary one-year permit on the grounds the entrepreneur meet certain conditions outlined by board members.
The licence granted to Nazarian would be a temporary one, good for one year after the date of issue. Nazarian will be required to undergo random drug tests due to a concern over allegations the club owner used frequently and will have no day-to-day oversight of the project. SLS Las Vegas president Scott Kreeger and Stockbridge Real Estate’s Terry Fancher are heading the operation.
The casino and hotel resort will be erected on the plot of land once home to the Sahara Hotel and Casino, where notable performers like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior, Jerry Lewis, and Dean Martin were once frequent guests.
