TSX Index Trading Forecast for September 30

At the beginning of last week the TSX held fairly steady, it opened at around 15,130 and stayed in that region until Thursday morning when it dropped to 15,007.51. The index then fell lower on Friday hitting a low of 14,888.81 before closing the week at 15,026.77. At the beginning of this week the market dropped below the 15,000 level again and was headed towards 14,900.

The companies which have been performing worst over the last week are Black Diamond which was down 12.91%, Horizon North Logistics In. which was down 10.39% and Labrador Iron Ore Royalty which was down 8.91%. The best performing were Valeant Pharma which was up 13.2% and China Gold which was up 11.53%.

The market is likely to continue falling over the coming days as investors remain concerned about Chinese economic data and overall global economic strength.
