DAX Performs Strongly And May Continue Rising

After falling sharply in the first half of August to a low of 9,009.32, the DAX index has been climbing steadily since and at the beginning of the week reached 9.758.03. This week European stocks began to climb after China said that it will be accelerating economic policy change in order to promote growth.
However, investors are remaining cautious as European leaders are still debating whether or not to impose tougher economic sanctions on Russia. The concerns over Russia are coupled with worries over the future of Scotland and the impact a vote for Scottish independence would have on the UK economy.
However, the DAX has been performing stronger than other European stock markets, and this coupled with a report showing that the German economy had a trade surplus of €22.5 billion this July could see it continue to rise in the coming week.
