Dow Jones Bounces Back – Continues To Rise

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell last Thursday from a weekly high of 17,144.05 to 17,070 and on Friday it initially continued falling reaching a low of 17,032.04. However, by the end of Friday it had climbed back up to 17,137.36.

So far this year the Dow Jones has climbed 3.4% and many expect it to continue rising. A weaker than expected jobs report at the end of last week is being taken as a sign that the Federal Reserve will not begin to raise interest rates in the near future. While interest rates remain low the Dow Jones is likely to continue rising.
