Rhythm City Hotel And Casino Makes Move To Davenport
Davenport Welcomes Rhythm City Hotel and CasinoDavenport, Iowa will see the erection of Scott County Casino LLC owned Rhythm City Hotel and Casino at the southwest meeting of interstates 80 and 74 in the very near future.
Davenport aldermen will meet Monday to discuss the construction amid downsized riverfront Dock development.
The casino will reportedly aide in road construction that will bolster smaller riverfront reinvestment projects within the scope of its development.
Developers for the $100 million property report the specifications to be at about 40,000 square feet, and 3-stories, scaled down from 4-stories and what some reports was a 85,000 square foot complex. The project could begin as soon as fall of this year if all goes as planned for the property developers.
An additional recreation, hotel, and retail center had been planned for a price tag of $71.5 million, but was put on hold following Iowa Economic Development Authority’s denial. An additional site to the west is being eyed as a potential alternative location for the development.
