Hard Rock Casino Sioux City to Hire 500 Employees

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City has already received about 1,500 online job applications for the 500 positions that will be filled at the venue over the coming months.

The General Manager, Todd Moyer, said, “It makes me feel good that so many people want to work here. We’re going to treat people right and create a great environment for them to grow their careers and really enjoy coming to work each day.”

The casino is at least two months away from completion and hiring is in the early stages. So far positions have only been advertised on its Facebook page and website. Moyer said that initially focus is on appointing department heads and top managers. This will be followed by the next level of employees and more appointments will be made as the casino’s opening approaches.

Hard Rock is planning to open a career center later this month to organize the hiring, the center will house a school for table game dealers. The casino will be hiring around 150 dealers and there are nine informal meetings for prospective dealers due to start next month.

However, until the casino has a set opening date hiring for other front-line positions will wait.
