Action Gaming Sells Patents to IGT
Action Gaming, a leading casino video poker game developer, has announced the sale of a number of its video poker patents to IGT as part of a long-term, exclusive video poker game development agreement.
The patents cover a number of themes and thousands of games that make up IGT’s collection of daily fee video poker games that are used by multiple online casinos. The games are a huge contributor to IGT’s ninety percent plus market share in the video poker market.
Action Gaming became the primary force in developing high earning video poker games when it introduced Triple Play Draw Poker in 1997. Since then the games have been marketed and distributed by IGT. The new agreement ensures that this successful partnership will continue through the life of the patents.
The owner of Action Gaming, Ernie Moody, said, “We are confident that the sale of these patents to IGT will ensure its dominance of the video poker market for the foreseeable future. We are very proud of the popular and high revenue producing games we’ve created for the industry and especially of the successful partnership we’ve enjoyed with IGT.”
