Online Gambling Debate to Kick-Off iGaming North America Conference

This March iGaming North America will host its fourth annual conference at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. It was announced earlier this week that two of the biggest casino operators will help kick-off the conference as the featured speakers in the annual Visionaries Session.

This year’s iGaming North America conference will start with a debate between Las Vegas Sands and Caesars Interactive Entertainment.

The session will see the Vice President of Government Relations for Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Andy Abboud, and the CEO and Director of Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Mitch Garber, debate the question “Is iGaming the Problem or the Solution?”

Abboud will be expounding upon his recent Congressional testimony about the risk of online gambling and the need for prohibition while Garber will argue for the legalization and regulation of online gambling as a necessary means to address potential concerns.

The debate will be moderated by Steve Lipscomb, the founder of the World Poker Tour. It is expected to cover the current industry in the US and the various ways in which it can grow.

Sue Schneider, a partner in the conference said, “Our goal for iGaming North America is to provide debates on a number of critical issues to the iGaming industry. Hearing these visionaries discuss the rationales for their differing views offers an appropriate launch to several of those debates which will be featured on the program.”
