Bitcoin Innovations Revealed at North American Bitcoin Conference
Last weekend saw hundreds of Bitcoin enthusiasts visit Miami Beach for the North American Bitcoin Conference. The conference featured a number of speakers and workshops on Bitcoin and methods for vendors to accept them.Coinflash previewed its Coinflash Bitcoin ATM at the conference. The company is hoping to deploy 1000 ATMs across the world by the end of this year. At the conference there were live demonstrations of the machines functionality, it enables Coinbase and Ripple users to buy and sell bitcoins for cash, pay bills, transfer funds and purchase gift cards.
Also at the conference KryptoKit unveiled its new ‘two-click’ solution for paying bitcoin merchants. The solution is a result of a partnership with BitPay; it includes KryptoDirectory, a shopping directory that incorporates BitPay data on businesses that accept bitcoins.
The directory can be seen within the KryptoKit Chrome wallet window. Users simply need to browse to a site they’d like to shop at and the browser extension will find bitcoin addresses for each item from the site. It then inserts the items into the wallet window and gives users a list of payment options.
The company’s co-founder, Anthony Di Iorio said, “As Bitcoin becomes more universally known and accepted as currency, we saw a clear need to have a single, clean and easy to use resource for finding businesses that welcome cryptocurrency,”
