Bwin.party Enjoys Financial Success
Bwin.party has said in a pre-close trading statement that it has been trading in line with management expectations since the end of September. The company said that it is hopeful about next year as it expects a boost from new products, mobile expansion, growth in the US and higher betting volumes during the FIFA World Cup.According to the statement, since the end of September 52% of average net daily revenue comes from nationally taxed markets including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and the US state of New Jersey.
Around a quarter of sports bets were placed on mobile devices during the period and Bwin.party expects to see this increase when its new sports mobile product is rolled out during the first half of next year.
The statement also said that the company is already benefiting from the launch of online gambling in New Jersey last month and that it will launch its poker and casino iOS applications in the state as soon as it receives approval from the regulator.
It was also announced that Simon Duffy will be stepping down as Chairman at the 2014 annual general meeting.
