Navajo Plans Twin Arrows Casino Expansion

Less than six months after the casino’s grand opening, the tribe behind the Twin Arrows casino in Arizona is already planning for major expansion.

Less than half a year after opening the Navajo Nation tribe has already submitted major plans for expansion.
The complex is to be called ‘The Outlook at Glittering Mountain’. However, as it is not tribal trust land it will be up to the county to give final approval.
The residences and retail space are designed to service the casino’s 600 employees, but the tribe also believes the expansion will attract more tourist, interstate travelers and local residents.
Tribe officials have said that some construction funds have already been secured and they hope to complete the first phase of building by next year, with up to $50 million worth of construction on the entertainment pavilion and some retail.
The full project could take up to a decade to complete; however, the first step will be to receive approval.
