Tropicana Casino Receives NJ Online Gambling License

With just a few weeks to go until online gambling launches in New Jersey, the Tropicana has become the fifth venue to receive a license.

New Jersey is going live with online gambling on November 26 after a five-day trial starting on November 21st. The state started handing out licences earlier this month with the first four going to the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, the Golden Nugget, the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort and the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.
The Tropicana has partnered with online gambling company Gamesys which will be running the casino’s online software platform. This is the first time that Gamesys has ventured in to the US after it became the first company to offer real money gambling through Facebook in the UK.

Tropicana President and CEO, Tony Rodio, said, “Both Tropicana and Gamesys are looking forward to introducing our customers to a new level of gaming through its online offerings, which will both entertain and raise the bar in gaming experience.”
