Nevada Gaming Commission Approve Golden Gaming and 888 Partnership
The Nevada Gaming Control Commission has given its approval to a proposed partnership between Golden Gaming, 888 and Treasure Island which would allow Golden Gaming to promote the other two companies poker operations to its customers.
Golden Gaming, the largest slots operator in Nevada, is planning to sign up online poker players at its three Pahrump casinos and its taverns, however, its slot locations are not part of the deal.
The company will not be operating the online gaming; however, they will take a revenue share of all players referred to 888’s poker site.
Both 888 and TI have been approved for online gaming in Nevada, and TI will be the first operator on 888’s “All American Poker Network.”
Golden Gaming’s attorney, Michael Alonso, said that the deal is “unique and allows Golden Gaming to market 888’s platform to its customers.” He went on to say that the partnership will go into effect once Treasure Island launches its online poker room.
The Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett said, “This is a good example of new ideas coming to the marketplace. It’s an attempt to add further liquidity. I, for one, welcome it.”
