Betsson Replaces Entraction with Microgaming
The Swedish owned poker operator Betsson has joined the Microgaming network; it will now be working alongside its Ongame network in order to allow customers to choose between the two platforms.
In the past Betsson has offered poker on both Ongame and IGT/Entraction. However, the IGT network will be closed on November 20th so Betsson has joined Microgaming in order to ensure that customers still have a choice.
The group’s subsidiary, Betsafe, joined the Microgaming network in August and also gives its customers the choice between the two networks. The Ongame network was recently sold by bwin.party to Amaya Gaming.
By being part of two networks Betsson is able to offer a wider range of new player promotions and bonuses than it could on just one network.
Microgaming said that Betsson to a central role when “shaping the design and functions of the new lobby.” The new lobby is already being rolled out to Betsson and other poker rooms.
Since the demise of Entraction, Microgaming has hugely benefited and added a number of poker rooms to its network.
In the last two months cash game traffic on the network has increased by around 35%.
