888 Signs New Deal and Releases New iPad App

There have been two important announcements from 888 Holdings in the last week. The first is a new deal with WMS Gaming Inc to offer an online poker product to the group’s land based casinos and the second is a new roulette app for iPad.

888 have made the first steps towards the American online poker market with a new deal with WMS Gaming.

The deal with WMS Gaming Inc will see 888 provide free-to-play games at first, with the aim to provide play for money online poker games depending on the individual state and federal regulations. Both 888 Holdings and WMS Gaming have applied for egambling licenses from the state of Nevada and are awaiting the final decisions.

Orrin J. Edidin, the President of WMS Gaming, has said that the deal will allow them to provide their casino operator customers with the “capabilities and benefits from one of the world’s most experienced online poker operators.”

Brian Mattingley, the Chief Executive Officer of 888 Holdings said that WMS is one of the main suppliers in America and has a network of relationships with land-based operators that are second to none. He went on to say that “the combination of 888?s cutting edge online poker platform and WMS’ customer relationships, marketing and distribution capabilities, provides the opportunity to build a substantial online presence.”

The deal will also give 888 a good start in the growing online poker market in the United States and reaffirms its position as a reputable gaming company.

888casino’s new Roulette App for iPad comes after the success of their Android app. Players can now bet and enjoy roulette from their iPad as well as desktop computers and Android devices. The app contains three of the most popular roulette games, European, French and American and can now be found at the Apple App Store.  The game is available in both play-for-fun and real-money modes.
