Playtech Bingo Promotion Ends as Company Receives Premium Listing

It has been an excellent start to the month for Playtech, the designer, developer and licensor of gambling games.

Playtech has just finished its biggest ever bingo network progressive jackpot promotion with just over £2.5 million in prize money. From May 21st Playtech’s bingo licensees were giving away prizes ranging from £25 to £25,000 through 10 selected slot games with progressive jackpots. By the end of the promotion nearly 40,000 prizes had been given out.
In addition to this promotion, there was a single progressive jackpot win of £1,364,745.23 on Playtech bingo’s massively popular Clover Rollover slot. This payout is the network’s third biggest in a single prize.
The Head of Bingo Networks at Playtech, Andrew Steddy, said that the company was delighted to provide another “unique market leading promotion”. He said that thanks to Playtech’s ability to share liquidity across the entire network they are able to offer “self-funding promotions and prizes that are unparalleled in the bingo market.”
Steddy went on to say that the fact a player won a single jackpot of over £1.3 million at the same time as the £2.5 million promotion “clearly demonstrates once more that Playtech is at the forefront of delivering value through networked gaming solution.”
At the same time Playtech advanced to a premium listing on the London Stock Exchange. They opened the markets last week in a ceremony as the company’s shared progressed from AIM to the Main Market. The premium listing is recognition from the UK capital markets that Playtech has demonstrated strong growth and performance.
Playtech has market capitalisation of around £1 billion and the official listing of its ordinary shares on the Main Market, the company will now be aiming to strengthen its position as the world’s leading supplier of software and services to the online gaming market.
