Playtech Sign Social Gaming Deal with Skywind Holdings Ltd

This week Playtech announced a deal signed with Skywind Holdings Ltd that should move the group into the fastest growing social gaming arena.  This new deal will also allow Playtech to strengthen its mobile platform thanks to the new games and products that will be provided by Skywind.

A new deal between Playtech and Skywind Holdings Ltd will see Playtech expand into the social gaming arena.

Playtech has said that it has been monitoring developments in the social gaming arena closely and analysing a number of ways to enter the market. Thanks to the new deal, Playtech now has access to a wide range of social gaming platforms and products provided by Skywind Holdings Ltd. Playtech will also be able to make use of a number of real money products which should give them a unique position in the market.

In its statement Playtech said that the directors believe that “the combination of Playtech’s wide distribution channels, expertise in content development, backend and online marketing capabilities and the broad range of products licensed under the software license agreement will position the group as the leading B2B provider to the social gaming market.” The statement went on to say that Playtech will have the ability to offer cabailities across numerous platforms with games such as social casino, poker, bingo and rummy.

This new agreement also gives Playtech access to over 150 software developers who focus on social gaming and real money mobile software. The company has said that they will begin devoting resources to launching a full B2B social gaming model immediately. They are hoping to maximize the time to market advantage created by entry into the software license agreement. The group is expecting that this investment and the overall licensing costs will produce noticeable results for shareholders.
