32Red ready to enter new European licensed markets
With so many changes a-happening in Europe, it is no wonder some casino operators are choosing to look around and investigate certain new markets. Take 32Red, for example. The Gibraltar-licensed online casino has made it public that it is exploring new licensed gaming markets, with Italy being a possible location.
32Red is growing and sees 2011 as another year of success. In the last years, the company has set records and gained new customers from its marketing ventures, such as advertising on TV and sponsoring Swansea City football team. The company’s Chief Executive said: “The business is definitely on a roll. We are investing more money in marketing at the topline and we are being more aggressive with our promotions, which are bringing in new players.”
“We’re only interested in regulated markets, which is why we’re looking at Italy closely now because we think that could be an opportunity,” said Ware, the company’s CEO. Ware spends time in the UK, racing his horse there. In addition to the Italian market, Ware has expressed interest in Spain, though it is reported that he is concerned about the financial environment there.
Ware, however, is a businessman first and foremost, though he began his career with Ladbrokes, and he has mentioned that he is open to making acquisitions—but only if it were the perfect opportunity. “Ideally we would look for companies that would be on par with ourselves or slightly small,” he said, continuing that he expected to see future online casino business deals.
32Red’s client base is largely in the UK. The company settled an infringement disagreement in the winter with Britain’s main betting shop operator, William Hill.
