English Harbour Group Closes its Doors
The English Harbour Group – one of the oldest brands at work in the gaming industry – has announced its plans for closure, it emerged this month. The group, which has operated a range of Vegas Technology powered casinos, has endured a difficult year in the wake of the financial crisis.
The news arrives as some surprise to existing customers who have continued to enjoy a range of casino promotions at associated brands. Gaming destinations including the Silver Dollar Casino, Millionaire Casino, VIP Slots Casino, and Caribbean Gold Casino have been hosting a variety of online promotions and tournaments throughout the months of June and July – prompting many to believe that the organisation was on the road to recovery despite the events of Black Friday.
Commenting on the situation, a statement issued to marketing affiliates in May of this year said that corporation had “closed all of its casinos to new player registrations” but added that the venues would “remain open to existing players.” The latest statements, however, reveal that the group will be closing its doors to current players. “We recommend that you play out your balance or request prior to August 1st”, reads an official notice on E H Casino home pages. The message goes on to advise customers to contact customer support in the event of any queries. The statement concludes by thanking players for their “loyalty through the years” .
Many are still waiting to discover the fate of the UK version of several English Harbour sites which are functioning as normal. A statement confirming the situation is expected for imminent release.
