Ladbrokes Renews Software Deal with MicroGaming
The UK bookmaker, Ladbrokes, has announced that it will be updating its contract with the software developer MicroGaming, The organisation, which has been powered by MicroGaming for well over a decade, revealed that it has signed a new deal enabling the company to continue to supply its software.
The arrangement unites two of the most powerful names in the gaming sector and paves the way for a promising future for both parties which remain free to pursue fresh revenue streams.
Ladbrokes, which currently operates more than 2,700 retail betting shops throughout the UK, is best known for its range of bookmaking services alongside its popular online casino forum. Playing host to a number of bingo and poker rooms, the casino has recently introduced live dealer technology in addition to a host of other state of the art innovations. The latest figures suggest that the bookmaker takes bets valued at approximately £15 billion a year.
The contract arrives after an uncertain few months for the company which was rumoured to have been courting a parallel deal with 888.com. Insider reports led many to suggest that the firm had undervalued 888.com – prompting talks to break down. Ladbrokes is currently pursuing further deals with other gaming suppliers in an effort to broaden its horizons further.
The brand is also celebrating the arrival of new gambling machines which are now featured in retail betting shops across the country a month ahead of schedule. Richard Glynn, Chief Executive of Ladbrokes, said that he is delighted with the MicroGaming deal which looks set to benefit operators and consumers alike.
