Online Casino Giant Hires New Executive
The online casino gambling group, 888, hired a new Chief Operations Officer. 888 is one of the most successful online casino operators in the world and it’s estimated to be worth close to $1 billion. The very desired position will be filled starting June this year. The online casino operator brings highly experienced communications industry executive Gigi Levy to occupy its Chief Operations Officer’s seat.
Levy will have many issues to deal with as the online casino operator’s new Chief Operations Officer. The online casino market is facing its saturation point and keeping revenue is difficult. On top of that, 888 is accused by many affiliates of taking unethical tactics such as site-scraping and blog spamming in order to attract more people to their online casino sites. The competition inside the online casino industry is a fierce one and Levy will have his hands full.
Levy was formerly employed by Amdocs as the president of its Western Europe, Central and Latin America Business Units. Levy will have to use all his skills and expertise to assist 888. The online casino giant chose to bring someone from the communications filed rather then hire someone from the online gambling industry. All online casino companies are trying to expand to new markets and brining someone that has a different view on things might prove to be effective.
